The hassle of getting a commercial solar system online with all system and SCADA comissioning is known to all installers. At Frankensolar, we are using a standardized internet gateway that is preconfigured and cuts down on IT related problems on site thus reducing delays and long trouble shooting with problems typically unrelated to the actual solar install.
Our LTE/3G Internet Gateway offers:
- Rugged Microhard Cube with reliable 3G or LTE based cellphone network connection
- Integrated high power (1W, 2.4GHz) WiFi access point
- Integrated, rugged 5port fast ethernet switch (4 ports available)
- Wide AC input voltage range from 85 to 264Vac, 50/60Hz
- NEMA 4X cabinet for direct, clean, outdoor install
- enclosure can be pad-locked
- -40degC to 70degC ambient temperature rating
- System settings are clearly labeled on the enclosure door
- For wired (Ethernet) or wireless (WiFi) devices (e.g. Datamanagers, Inverters, Smart-Meters, SCADA etc.)
The most important feature:
- Everything is preconfigured and instantly online, just connect AC power
- It comes with unlimited data (reduced speed) on Bell Canada's network with free roaming on other Canadian networks if Bell is unavailable. (Customers Credit Card Credentials required for signup/configuration).
- Very low monthly cost: CAD $15/month (each customer has its own contract, simple contract maintenance!)
Disclaimer: This internet gateway and the internet service used is intended for M2M (machine to machine) communications like data monitoring. It is not suitable for home use and any form of video or music streaming.
